Top Ten Tuesday (TTT) brought to you by The Broke and the Bookish.
Yay! TTT is officially back this week.
March 14: Top Ten Books On My Spring TBR
In early January, I did a TTT list of 2016 releases I still want to get to. I’ve only managed to read three of these ten so far (The Princess Diarist, The Nest, and Night School). I’m hoping to get to the other seven of course, but in the interest of keeping this list fresh, I’m going to stick to recently published (or coming soon) books.
As my fellow book lovers know, your TBR is ALWAYS growing.
Ten Books I’d Like to Read in Spring 2017
Books on my 2017 Spring TBR:
- In Farleigh Field by Rhys Bowen
- Saratoga Payback by Stephen Dobyns
- #famous by Jilly Gagnon
- Caraval by Stephanie Garber
- Into the Water by Paula Hawkins
- The Forgotten Girls by Owen Laukkanen
- Catalina Eddy by Daniel Pyne
- Nemesis by Brendan Reichs
- The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
- Gone Without a Trace by Mary Torjussen
What about you? Any recommendations to add to my ever-growing TBR? Are any of my books on your list? Sound off below, and link up to your own TTT if you’ve got one!
The Hate U Give is popping up on a lot of lists. Its one I’m actually interested in reading myself, although its way outside my normal genre reading. Our TTT

I only heard about it yesterday when I saw a review over on another book blog. The topic is so timely, I feel like it is a must-read. This blog and the blogging community has definitely opened my eyes to books outside of my genre (mystery)! I love it. 🙂

Planning on reading Into the Water this Spring too! Forgot to put that one on my list though haha 🙂

I’m not sure how I feel about reading Paula Hawkins new book. I was kind of bored by The Girl on the Train. I will probably wait to see what you think since you’re going to read it. 😉

I listened to the audio book for Girl on the Train and I loved it. BUT I’ve read A LOT of books in that genre since, so…hopefully I won’t find it too predictable at this point. I will keep you posted! 🙂

I’m going back onto the bandwagon and hoping to see if Hawkins next book is film adaptable and just watch that instead haha (see: Girl on the Train was an unfulfilling movie, in my opinion).

The Hate U Give is great. It provides commentary that is not only timely, but also timeless. Especially in terms of imagining others complexly. I hope you enjoy it. Happy reading!

I’m really looking forward to the new Paula Hawkins book! “The Girl on the Train” definitely kept me on the edge of my seat and I’m wondering if she could possibly top it. I’m also planning to read “Gone Without a Trace” (I’ve got an ARC) and “The Hate U Give,” which seems like THE book of the season, at least among book bloggers.

Hard to believe we’re talking SPRING reading already. Into The Water definitely has me interested after Girl on the Train (which I liked but didn’t love), and Gone Without a trace looks good too. Maybe Nemesis as well.

In Farleigh Field sounds like something I should read — adding it to my Goodreads TBR shelf now!

I don’t have it on my list, but The Hate U Give sounds really good. I’m reading a lot more this year by authors of color. I find race really hard to talk about (and to write book reviews about) but I still mean to try.
