The Lions of Fifth Avenue. A mini review.
5/5 Stairs. Excellent historical fiction: takes place in the NYPL, features two female protagonists, and alternates between 1913 and 1993. Don't miss it.
Finding Freedom: An inspiring memoir.
5/5 Stairs. When I picked up this memoir, I had never heard of the small town of Freedom, Maine, Erin French, or her restaurant The Lost Kitchen. Now I am dying to eat there!
Living at the Library. Literally.
Did you know that there were 30 caretaker apartments in New York Public Library branches? Come down the rabbit hole with me as I find out more about these spaces!
An Extravagant Death – A Historical Mystery to Savor.
5/5 Stairs. The mystery itself is both straightforward and complex at the same time. There are plenty of suspects, and Newport even feels like a character itself.
