Top Ten Tuesday (TTT) brought to you by The Broke and the Bookish.
With the long (US) holiday weekend (and loads of personal stuff, I’ve barely been home), I didn’t have much time to sit down and work on this TTT post, so it is going to be short and sweet my friends.
Ten Books I Plan To Have In My Beach Bag This Summer
or Ten Books I Think Make Great Beach Reads
Beach Reads…I will say for me any book is a beach read. I’ve been known to sit poolside with a huge Elizabeth George Inspector Lynley Scotland Yard 600+ page hardback in my hands. So really, any book is a beach book for me. Here’s some of the lighter fare I’d like to tackle this summer. Please note that some of my books were on my list last summer. (And possibly the summer before that. 😉 )
Been Wanting to Read
Where’d You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple
Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter
The Thousand Dollar Tan Line by Rob Thomas & Jennifer Graham
Recently Published
A Dangerous Place by Jacqueline Winspear
The Readaholics and the Falcon Fiasco by Laura DiSilverio
Woof by Spenser Quinn
New Finds
Double Whammy by Gretchen Archer
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz
Rainbow Rowell
Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
What about you? What will you find in your beach bag this summer? Comment below and feel free to link to your own TTT list.
Oh Rainbow Rowell is so amazing. You’ll love them 🙂

I think I’ve said it like a million times, but Rowell is a genius. Landline is the only one I haven’t read. Will have to purchase that one soon 😀

I agree, I have books that I want to read, but others seem to crop up and I read them instead. I’ll have to revisit this list later and see how many I actually got to. Long live Veronica Mars!

Looks like we have three in common for the summer! I also really want to read Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, it sounds like a fantastic read (and I’ve heard it’s one of the best ya LGBTQ books out there)!

Three in common…if I actually read these this summer. I always end up getting random books at the library. 🙂 My to-read pile is so big!

Same, my pile is getting really ridiculous now. I read much slower than the rate I accumulate books. Sigh.

I’ve been curious about the Veronica Mars books, as I’ve heard good things. And A Dangerous Place looks good also.
Love your header by the way- those old Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys cover are favorites of mine. 🙂

I loved the Veronica Mars TV show. I don’t know if I would read the books without the background of the three seasons and the movie.
Thanks! (re:header) I love my Nancy Drew collection. ❤
