Welcome to another Monday! I love music as much as books, so Monday is a chance to share a little of what I’ve been listening to this week.
We’ve had a weird few weeks around here with business travel, house guests (both the people and pet variety), and illness. Usually we’ve got a lot of different music on rotation, but that has not been the case lately. So today I thought I’d visit my last three songs I Shazam’ed. (Is that a verb? It is now.)
Sugar, We’re Goin Down by Fall Out Boy
This song came on while we were in the car, and one of my boys was sure it was Fall Out Boy, so we Shazam’ed it to find out if he was right. He was.
Ends of the Earth by Lord Huron
This song ended the series finale episode of Longmire. I had this song on a playlist last year and was reminded of how much I loved it. A lot of times I Shazam a song to remember to add it to a current playlist. I love the harmonies in this song. Gorgeous.
Call it Dreaming by Iron & Wine.
I *think* this might have been on another Longmire episode. But I honestly can’t remember. No matter the source, it’s an awesome song.
What are you listening to this week?
Happy Monday!
Rules from Lauren:
Every Monday share one or two of songs you’ve been enjoying lately. It doesn’t have to be a specific genre, new, or one of your favorites – just something you’d like to share with others. If possible, share a music or lyric video of the song and your thoughts on the song(s), artist(s), and/or music video(s).
If you would like to participate in Music Monday, please join the link up by sharing your post’s url over at this week’s post on Always Me.
I am here to say thank you! I had never heard of Lord Huron but, I saw you mention it, and I was in a “new music” mood so I looked it up. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for this evening. Perfect soundtrack for what I’m working on right now.
