I love Christmas music. Love it. I’m ready to start listening to it by mid-November. My husband has a strict “no Christmas music in the house” rule until after Thanksgiving. Thank goodness we’ve finally made it! I’ve got all my CD’s out, and the season has finally commenced.
I’ve decided to hijack my Monday morning pick-me-up for December to feature some of my favorite Christmas songs and arrangements. I may even make this a Thursday feature for the month as well, there are so many great songs and I don’t think four Mondays will cut it.
The song I share with you today became an instant favorite when I heard it five years ago. It’s one of the first songs I listen to when I pull out all my Christmas music, and one of the last ones before I put it all away again for another year. It’s jazzy and fun. Meaghan Smith has a beautiful voice.
I love both the album version (with the trumpet!) and the live version. So today I give you both. Enjoy.
