What Are You Reading Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by Its A Reading Thing. To participate, open the book you are currently reading to page 34 (or 34% in your ebook) and answer these three questions. If you have a blog, leave a link down in the comments so that others can visit and see your post. If not, just leave a note with your answers.
The Questions:
1. What’s the name of your current read?
The Silkworm, by Robert Galbraith.
I’ve been reading this one (off and on) in between ARCs for quite a few weeks now. It’s been a slow read for me simply because there are so many characters in this book. When I go back and pick it up, I usually have to flip back 5 -10 pages to remember where I’m at, or I need to flip around earlier in the book to remember who a character is. The next Cormoran Strike book I’m going to be fully committed. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great book. Just not a good one for picking up randomly and getting back into it.
2. Go to page 34 in your book (or 34% in your eBook) and share a complete sentence. (or two!)
“Cormoran Strike… Strike… I know that name, don’t I… ?”
The penny dropped. Fisher was suddenly reanimated, as though his batteries had been changed.
“Bloody hell, you’re the Lula Landry guy!”
3. Would you like to live in the world that exists within your book? Why or why not?
Modern day London sounds pretty great. Not sure if I’d want to be a private detective, but maybe his assistant.
Oh I really liked The Silkworm! It was a little slow to begin with but I thought it was better than the first. I would love to be in London!

I prefer The Cuckoo’s Calling over The Silkworm, even though this one is about the publishing industry.
Don’t get me wrong, The Silkworm is great. Oh, what would we do without Robin? She’s marvellous.
But somehow I could better identify with the characters from The Cuckoo’s Calling. Better fleshed out too, I find.

I really want to read this book! I’ve heard its a great book and… Is it written by J.K. Rowling? (In her different pen name of course?)

Yes written by JK Rowling. I would start with Cuckoo’s Calling, that is the first in the series. this one is book #2. Just to get a feel for the characters.
