Music Monday: Riverdale Season 3 Edition.

Welcome to another Monday! My boys were off school last week. We went for a short trip to visit family. (AND I got a couple new books read. yay!) Saturday was a beautiful day for my son’s marching band competition, and then yesterday we got snow. Already. Bleh. It’s supposed to be back in the high 50’s/ low ’60s the rest of the week. My dog will be sad to see it melt, he loves the snow.

Our Sunday afternoon music rehearsals were cancelled thanks to the weather, so I finally had a chance to watch the Season 3 premiere of Riverdale. I was with the show until the last few minutes. It got pretty bizarre there at the end. If you’ve watched it, you know what I’m talking about.

Anyway, Riverdale always has great music in every episode. Here were the two that stood out to me on this latest outing with Archie and the gang.

Walk Through the Fire by Klergy, featuring BELLSAINT

For me, this song stands out heads and shoulders above the other tracks from the first episode. Beautiful and haunting.

5 Seconds of Summer by Youngblood

A great song to watch the gang taking a ride in Archie’s restored car, heading to the lake for one last day of summer fun.

BONUS: Book Suggestions if you like Riverdale

I ran across these posts in the last week, and thought I’d share on this music post. A few book ideas for those of you who enjoy Riverdale.

The link from Riveted is only three books, but they all look really good. I’m hoping to get to them this fall!

Happy Monday!

Rules from Lauren:
Every Monday share one or two of songs you’ve been enjoying lately.  It doesn’t have to be a specific genre, new, or one of your favorites – just something you’d like to share with others.  If possible, share a music or lyric video of the song and your thoughts on the song(s), artist(s), and/or music video(s).

If you would like to participate in Music Monday, please join the link up by sharing your post’s url over at this week’s post on Always Me.

  1. Wow snow already! It’s 44 here at the moment and it feels SO cold lol after summer. By next spring 44 will feel downright balmy haha!

Great picks. I liked the premiere and I thought the ending was great, but then I like it when they flirt with the paranormal a bit. It was kind of jarring though, I admit!

Sit down and share a cuppa with me. Let's discuss.
