Hello Monday! This is sadly our last Monday in August for 2018. (I personally am excited about this, as I love autumn. The colors that come from the changing leaves, cooler temperatures, and pumpkin spice everything!)
As we enter into these last days of summer, I thought I would feature some summery tunes to keep the sunshine strong.
Summer of ’69 by Brian Adams
The Boys of Summer by Don Henley
Jack & Diane by John Cougar (Mellencamp)
Technically, this one isn’t about summer but these three songs really provide a trilogy for me; they always seem to belong together. Also fun fact: When he released Jack & Diane in 1982, it was under the name “John Cougar.” In 1983 he switched to “John Cougar Mellencamp.” Now he’s just John Mellencamp.
Bonus: Vacation by The Go Go’s
Classic ’80s.
Happy Monday!
Rules from Lauren:
Every Monday share one or two of songs you’ve been enjoying lately. It doesn’t have to be a specific genre, new, or one of your favorites – just something you’d like to share with others. If possible, share a music or lyric video of the song and your thoughts on the song(s), artist(s), and/or music video(s).
If you would like to participate in Music Monday, please join the link up by sharing your post’s url over at this week’s post on Always Me.
I haven’t listened to Summer of ’69 in a long time. It’s still a catchy song and I love it. The other songs are also great. 🙂

Oh these all scream summer to me. Loved all of ’em. Bryan Adams had so many good songs, and the Go-Go’s were just so upbeat you couldn’t get their songs out of your head when they hit the radio.
