I love when other artists cover a song and do an even better job (at least, in my opinion) than the original artist.

My son adores Taylor Swift, and we had her 1989 album on repeat for a long time. But I’ve found that I enjoy covers of Ms. Swift’s songs so much more than her originals. Take the song Blank Space. Her version is great, but I think these two versions are EVEN BETTER. (My son disagrees with me. 😉 )

Honestly, I prefer to listen to Ryan Adam’s version of the 1989 album over Taylor’s original. I love what he did with her songs.

  2. In this case I like the original better haha tho I wanted to like the Imagine Dragons more because I love them!

    Disturbed did a cover of The Sound of Silence that is amazing. I don’t know who the orignal artist was but I didn’t like it at all and I love Disturbed’s version.

    • The Sound of Silence is originally by Simon & Garfunkel. I will check out the Distributed cover! I love to hear how other artists interpret. Although I will say I’m a fan of the original. 😉

  4. Difficult to say, in this case I think I prefer the original version, however, I do enjoy the live lounge and how talented these musicians are with their cleverly adapted versions!
