4/5 Stairs. This dystopian/sci-fi novel is also a tale about three generations of women breaking the cycle of abuse.

I was expecting a romance, but that is only one element of this inside look into the life of a boy-band.

Little Darlings. A mini review.

September 4, 2021September 3, 2021 / beckmank / 1 Comment

4/5 Stairs. I'm not sure how to classify this book - it's a police procedural, contemporary fiction, mythical/fairy tale, fantasy, and even a little suspense/thriller mystery all wrapped into one.

In Five Years. An unexpected love story.

October 14, 2020October 11, 2020 / beckmank / 5 Comments

5/5 Stairs. I loved Rebecca Serle's The Dinner List so much, that I knew I had to read In Five Years. When I picked up this book, I thought it was a romance. When I finished this book, I knew it was actually a love story. The greatest love story. And it was completely unexpected.

The Mother-in-Law. Not what I was expecting, but even better than I imagined.

5/5 Stairs to The Mother-in-Law. A fantastic novel about two strong women that reminds you there are two sides to every story. Highly recommended.

That’s a wrap, January! I read 13 books this month, and made progress on both the #clearyourshelfchallenge and the #2023netgalleychallenge ! I read a lot of good books this month, but The Thursday Murder Club was by far my favorite. Loved that cast of characters and will be picking up the second in the series soon.
