Quotable Thursday. The Favorite Sister.

QuotableThursdaySmall_HiddenStaircase

Top Ten Tuesday has always been a favorite weekly post of mine, but lately I haven’t been connecting with some of the topics. Since this week was another TTT fail for me, I thought I’d try something different and I’m calling in Quotable Thursday. Because I’m sharing a quote, and it’s Thursday. I know, I know. SUPER clever.

Will this become a regular feature here at Hidden Staircase? (Or at least a fill-in for TTT failure weeks?) That remains to be seen, my friends.

I thought it would be fun to pull a quote from something I’m currently reading that I’ve highlighted for some reason. Could be because I like it, or it’s important to the plot, maybe it’s powerful, or I just want to remember it. Any reason (or no reason) at all. This week my quote comes from The Favorite Sister by Jessica Knoll.

36967019Something about her appearance makes me do a double take, and it’s not that she’s trying too hard in scrappy ankle heels and an off-the-shoulder top while Lauren and Jen are across from her looking every bit like they woke up like this in weird jeans while drinking matching coconut La Croixs. Monsters. Who likes the coconut?

Now, this may seem like an odd quote to select, but I’m telling you it spoke to me this week. Probably because my mother-in-law is visiting, and what does she drink? Coconut La Croix. And I wonder the same thing every time she drinks one. Who likes the coconut?

Happy Thursday.

    • I know, right?! 😉

It’s good so far. We know the main character is murdered right from the start, and then you go back in time a few months to find out what happened. I’m sure the coconut is involved. Ha!

Sit down and share a cuppa with me. Let's discuss.
