Welcome back to our weekly Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

November 6: Backlist Books I Want to Read

If you’re like me, you have TONS of backlist books you want to read. I am constantly adding books to my TBR. I have certain authors whose books I always purchase. I love to find a great book bargain at a used book sale or in the bargain books section at the bookstore. Not to mention ebooks – I download free ones, and ebooks that I find on sale. And don’t even get me started on the armfuls of books I get when I visit the library. Which makes this week’s topic particularly daunting. How do you choose just TEN books from an unsurmountable, consistently rising virtual stack?

Well, to narrow the list down, I decided to limit my options. I walked around my house, inspected my shelves, and selected ten books that I would love to get started on right now. Here they are.

Beartown by Frederick Backman ♦ Two Kinds of Truth by Michael Connelly
Believing the Lie by Elizabeth George ♦ Turtles All the Way Down by John Green
Be Frank with Me by Julia Claiborne Johnson
Doctor Sleep by Stephen King ♦ Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa
The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee
From Twinkle, with Love by Sandhya Menon ♦ The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

Well, I’m ready to read now! I really am dying to get to all of these books. What books have been sitting in your TBR pile that you’d like to get to? Sign off below, and link up to your own TTT if you’ve got one!

    • Yeah I got off my Lynley kick when she killed off a main character. I used to read them as soon as they were published. I still love them, but they’re not the same and end up on the back burner. 🙂

  1. I’ve had The Hate U Give for EVER, but it’s a November pick for my office’s book club, so fingers crossed I’ll finally get around to it. I have quite a few others that I bought the physical book but haven’t actually gotten around to: Sleeping Beauties by Stephen King, Dark Matter by Blake Crouch, Warcross by Marie Lu (I know, that one has been out forever too), but for real, my list could go on and on and on. Have you heard of the Mount TBR group/challenge on Goodreads? I may have to actually participate in that one in 2019 just to whittle down my TBR list a little bit.
