September 19: Top Ten Books On My Fall TBR List
This week’s topic is pretty straightforward. What books are on my Fall reading list?
Top Ten Books on my Fall Reading List
One Classic Makes the List.
- Animal Farm by George Orwell.
(My son is reading Animal Farm at school and I thought it would be fun to read along.)
A Few Intriguing Mysteries from New-to-Me Authors.
- An Old, Cold Grave by Iona Whishaw.
- The Man in the Crooked Hat by Harry Dolan.
Let’s Snuggle Up with Hot Cocoa and a Blanket.
- Seeds of Revenge by Wendy Tyson
- Cold as Ice by Julie Mulhern
- 12 Days at Bleakly Manor by Michelle Griep
- Girl in Snow by Danya Kukafka
And Finally, the Latest Outings in Some Favorite Long-Standing Series
- Y is for Yesterday by Sue Grafton
- The Midnight Line by Lee Child
- The Lost Order by Steve Berry
BONUS: I’ve already read this one, but it should be on your list if you want to read a heartbreaking (and warm and funny at times) memoir:
- Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies by Michael Ausiello
What are you planning to read this fall? You know I need more books to add to my TBR list. 😉 Did any of my books make your list? Sound off below and link up to your own TTT if you’ve got one!
You know somehow I never read Animal Farm. I really should add it to my list as it does seem like one I need to read. I have the Tyson and the Mulhern and both look so good! Definitely curl up with a blanket books. I’m super curious about An Old Cold Grave. The author is new to me but it looks like a mystery I’d love!

I read Animal Farm but I don’t remember it. Ditto with 1984, which he’s reading second semester. 🙂 I just starteded An Old Cold Grave and I am loving it!

Great TBR list! I’m a little bit in love with the cover of An Old, Cold Grave! I had never heard of the Lane Winslow series, but it looks like one I should definitely check out…
Happy fall reading!

Girl in Snow is one I have but have been avoiding so can’t wait to see your review when you get to it. Great list!

I need to read the Mulhern book, I love that series. And The Lost Order doesn’t sound half bad, I love a good secret organization/ conspiracy or three!

Animal Farm is one of my favorite books! I hope you and your son find it as powerful as I did. I don’t know the other books but I mostly read historical mysteries.

I want to read “Girl in Snow” simply because it’s set in Colorado (my home state, which I think I’ve mentioned before)! I love your “snuggle up with cocoa and a blanket” category. Living in Hawaii doesn’t stop me from doing just that — and mysteries and atmospheric novels are the perfect thing to curl up with!
