Top Ten Tuesday (TTT) brought to you by The Broke and the Bookish.
Thank goodness – an easy-on-the-brain TTT today. I’ve just returned from vacation and still catching up with things here at home and work. So without further ado, I bring you…
Ten Of My Most Recent 5 Stair Reads
(Ok, you got me. The topic is actually 5 Stars. But we do stairs here at Hidden Staircase.)
About six or so months ago I started pulling a favorite quote (or two) from the book into a graphic for my reviews when possible. I had quotes for eight of these books, so here they are again. Enjoy!
Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy
Double Indemnity by James M. Cain
A Muddied Murder by Wendy Tyson
A Muddied Murder is being released today! Pick it up now for a great cozy mystery.
The Crossing by Michael Connelly
The Book of Speculation by Erika Swyler
The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz
The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty
All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
What about you? What great books have you read recently? You know I’m always looking for recommendations. Comment below and link up to your own Top Ten Tuesday if you’ve got one!

The movie was fantastic! But I’m used to Fred MacMurray in films like The Shaggy Dog and The Happiest Millionaire. What a different role for him!

I’ve only read one of these–Dumplin’–but it was a great mix of funny and honest. Sometimes the dress won’t zip, indeed. My TTT

When did you have time to read with your road trip? I have read and loved Michael Connelly’s The Crossing ( he’s my favorite author); I have also read Double Indemnity and liked it, and I thought The Girl on the Train to be wonderfully written and a fabulous read. I would like to read The Light We Cannot See.

What a great list, Kristi! So many of these are in my TBR pile (All the Light We Cannot See, Aristotle and Dante, and The Rosie Project being the top three) so I’m so happy you approve of them. Great selection of quotes as well! 🙂
