TTT: Great Book Quotes

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday (TTT) brought to you by The Broke and the Bookish.

Welcome back to another Tuesday! This week is a fun topic…

Top Ten Quotes I Loved From Books I Read in the Past Year or So

(taken from Broke & Bookish post topic from Freebie week)

I am terrible about marking book quotes. TERRIBLE. This year I’ve tried to get better. I mark pages with sticky notes or pieces of paper as I go (I still can’t write in my books!) and I even include some quotes in my book reviews. (Alas, most of my books are library books, so if I don’t get the quote in my review it’s probably lost to me forever.)

For this post, I’ve looked back through some of my book reviews of the past year and pulled favorite quotes from there. Some make me laugh, others bring a tear to my eye. Others just make me think.

In all fairness I tried to keep this to ten, but somehow ended up with eleven. Like any mother, I love them all. Don’t make me choose!

Looking back, I’ve read some fantastic books this year.

What book quotes came to your mind when you saw this week’s topic? What book do I need to read to experience new words to live by? Or laugh by? Give me your ideas in the comments, and link up to your own TTT if you’ve got one!

    • I thought the writing was so beautiful. I normally don’t read books about WWII, but it was for my 2015 reading challenge. I actually ended up really loving it. Very different from books I usually choose.

  1. Your quotes are so awesome! And I love the different backgrounds for each one. I loved All the Light We Cannot See–that’s a great quote from that book. Thanks for stopping by my TTT earlier this week 🙂
